International comparative study: ‘Developing locations in the knowledge economy’

·

·

Despite the enormous interest (and investments!) in the urban knowledge economy, there has been hardly any systematic comparative research on how to create successful locations where knowledge is readily transferred between organisations. A key question to be addressed in this study is how to create or promote successful locations/areas for the knowledge based economy. The European Institute for Comparative Research has initiated this study, and Urban IQ is involved as lead expert.
The cities to be analysed are: Dubai, Dublin, Eindhoven, Helsinki, Munich, and San Sebastian. The project started in 2009, and ended in 2010 with an international conference.
