About Regenalyze

Regenalyze wants to contribute to a regenerative economy: an economy that meets the needs of all people while respecting the planetary boundaries.

Why do we need a regenerative economy

Humanity has prospered immensely in recent decades. But the ways in which we have achieved this come at a devastating cost to Nature.

Greenhouse gas emissions keep growing, despite reduction pledges by government and companies, resulting in devastating global warming; biodiversity is declining faster than at any time in human history.

It is estimated that we need 1.6 Earths to maintain the world’s current living standards. Nature’s contribution to society is enormous, but nature sends no invoices. As a result, we have been exploiting Nature to a large extent.

What needs to change

We must stop extracting from nature. Our demands from the planet cannot continue to exceed its supply. This implies decarbonizing our economic activity, redesign our agriculture & food supply, re-use good and materials, and reduce excessive consumption.

Nature must be incorporated in economic and financial decision-making. For this, we need an inclusive measure of value & wealth that includes natural assets.

To enable these changes, we need new institutions, on the local/regional, national and international level.

What Regenalyze wants to do

  • Develop and spread new ideas to bring a regenerative economy closer, such as Doughnut Economics;
  • Explore what a regenerative economy concretely means for your company, city/region, knowledge institute, campus, or business park;
  • Help your organisation to analyse & improve its regenerative potential;
  • Develop/design regenerative experiments & practices with clients, and scale them up.
